In the Symposium we will evidence the outputs, impacts and benefits of these work based learning curricula and want to engage with the sector to discuss the challenges and benefits of international collaboration in vocational education, particularly for creative skills.

13:00-13:45        Networking Lunch

13.45 -14.00       Welcome and Introduction, Rebecca Davies Live Skills Project Director

14:00 – 15:00     Live Skills outputs, focussing on the value to learners, teachers and colleges, with a demonstration of learning materials produced by William Artt Belfast Metropolitan College.

15:00-15:30        Update on creative skills sector in the UK, presented by Creative & Cultural Skills (https://ccskills.org.uk/)

15:30 -16:30       Round table discussion session led by Rebecca Davies:

The curriculum development and delivery process  - how can the UK sector effectively work internationally whilst applying appropriate quality standards, collaborative working techniques and the potential for future international collaborations for vocational education.

16:30-17:00        Wrap up discussion on innovative, pilot and cross country policy development at local, national and EU level

Suggested attendees: lectures, curriculum leaders, employers, college administrators and those interested in vocational education transnational collaboration projects in creative skills.
